Announcing the 2009–2010 Willis Broadway Series
Last month the Civic Center of Greater Des Moines announced their 2009–2010 season. For the fifth consecutive year, our dealership will be the title sponsor of the Willis Broadway Series, bringing favorites from the Great White Way to our city. The curtain goes up in November with the moving modern classic Rent. This is followed by the unique thrills of Cirque Dreams Illumination in December. January brings the season’s special presentation — the triumphant return of Disney’s The Lion King. The Tony-Award winning play August: Osage County arrives at the Civic Center in February while May brings the acclaimed revival of the Rogers and Hammerstein classic South Pacific. Rounding out the season in July of 2010 is the entertaining and toe-tapping presentation of Jersey Boys featuring the music of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.

Drive for Kids Raises $53,000
We are pleased to report that the Willis Lexus Drive for Kids has been a huge success once again. In partnership with the Civic Center of Greater Des Moines, Willis Lexus has matched all donations up to a total of $15,000 made to Civic Center Education programs between January and June 2009. Each dollar donated is worth two in support of education programs. This year’s campaign has raised $53,000 for educational programming at the Civic Center. Thousands of elementary and middle school students from across the state will be able to take advantage of these fulfilling educational experiences thanks to the generosity of so many individuals.
